Truc Vi Huynh Duong, MD is a double board-certified Psychiatrist treating both adults
and children. Dr. Duong finished her bachelor's degree in Portland, OR, and attended
medical school in Rochester, MI. Too tired of the snow, Dr. Duong moved back to the
West Coast to complete her General Psychiatry residency in Visalia, CA, and her Child
& Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Fontana, CA.
Dr. Duong is passionate about doing research, and her focuses are mainly on early
childhood trauma, LGBTQ+, immigrant/refugee population, and intimate partner
violence/domestic violence. Dr. Duong was selected as a SAMHSA Minority Fellow by
the American Psychiatric Association. Through this honored fellowship program, Dr.
Duong received federal funding to develop and execute a project using artificial
intelligence to create YouTube videos targeting the public health issue of increasing
domestic violence and substance use during the Covid 19 pandemic in the Asian
community. Dedicated to inclusivity and diversity, Dr. Duong prioritizes creating a safe
and culturally sensitive environment for her patients regardless of their sexual
orientation, religion, gender, or country of origin.
In her free time, Dr. Duong enjoys taking fitness classes, practicing meditation, watching
thriller movies, spending time with her three cats, and volunteering with animal rescue
groups.
