Most individuals who seek care are struggling with particular patterns of emotion, behavior, or thought, or may be feeling stuck in some aspect of their life. In our work together, we explore various aspects of your personal history and daily life. This may include discussing family history, past and current relationships, nutrition, physical activity, social connectivity, as well as how you think about the world and your role in it. Medication may play an important role in your care as well.
I was born in Cordoba, Argentina and grew up in Fresno, California, amidst the backdrop of the stunning Sierras. At 18, I moved to Miami to study psychology at Florida International University. I completed a year of my psychology studies at the University of Valencia, Spain. I then worked in education and public health for a few years before pursuing medical school at the University of California, Irvine, graduating in 2018. Next came a four-year general psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia, where I was fortunate to train under extremely knowledgeable and caring physician faculty members.
I am married, a mom of three, and love riding my bicycle with my kids on the back. Prior to having children, I once rode my bike across the south of Portugal— before my prefrontal cortex and risk-analysis capabilities were fully formed. I love learning new skills and acquiring knowledge, and strive to not let perfect be the enemy of good.
