Dr. Lymaries Velez, a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist, brings a wealth of expertise to our outpatient psychiatry clinic. With a focus on general adult psychiatry, Dr. Velez holds special interests in adolescent and geriatric mental health, as well as conditions like schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, and dementia. Dedicated to comprehensive care, Dr. Velez incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy into treatment plans, recognizing that holistic and thorough treatment extends beyond medication management.

Drawing from extensive training at the University of Florida, including undergraduate studies, medical school, and general adult psychiatry residency, Dr. Velez also brings a robust background in research.
