FAQs
1. What is your approach to working with patients?
Collaborative, patient-centered model that integrates evidence-based practice with shared decision-making, cultural humility, and ongoing assessment of outcomes.
2. How do you integrate medication management?
Mental health conditions are medical conditions that can involve changes in brain function, stress response systems, and communication between nerve cells. These changes may affect mood, thinking, behavior, sleep, and energy levels.
Medications can help regulate these brain systems and reduce symptoms such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, psychosis, or difficulty concentrating.
3. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
My background in general medicine allows me to care for patients with complex medical conditions who are also experiencing mental health symptoms. I understand how chronic illnesses, multiple medications, and underlying medical factors can directly impact mood, cognition, sleep, and overall emotional well-being.
4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
You have to trust this process and work with your provider to achieve your goals.
5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?
Medications are considered an important part of treatment; however, the most effective care typically combines:
Medication management
Psychotherapy
Behavioral and lifestyle interventions
Support systems and coping strategies
The goal is always symptom relief, improved functioning, and long-term stability.
6. What kinds of clients do you work with best?
Adult, Geriatric
7. Do you have experience with trauma or PTSD?
I treat PTSD which involves a thorough assessment, trauma-focused therapy as first-line treatment, and adjunctive pharmacotherapy. I prioritize understanding each patient’s emotional sensitivity and personal history, especially when trauma is involved. Building a supportive, trusting doctor–patient relationship is foundational to effective treatment. I emphasize empathy, active listening, and collaboration to create a safe space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care.”
8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like nature, mountains, ocean, I love dogs, and cats.
