I am a board-certified consultant psychiatrist and a proud member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, an esteemed recognition of excellence in medical education, research, and leadership.

As a dedicated practitioner, I offer a holistic, person-centered approach to help individuals navigate life disruptions caused by depression, anxiety, attention difficulties, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, mood dysregulation, and grief.

Having earned certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, I completed my training at the prestigious University of Virginia. Throughout my career, I have actively engaged in research, focusing on mood disorders, women's mental health, addiction, and global mental health.

Additionally, I completed a fellowship in global mental health, solidifying my dedication to addressing mental health issues on a global scale and advocating for accessible, equitable care worldwide.

5.0

the staff was incredibly polite over the phone, very helpful and Dr. Seoudy was absolutely incredible. Patient, listening, truly looking to help me rather than just treat me like a regular patient. I love his commitment to his patients and the love for service to the people that come his way.

FAQs

1. What is your approach to working with patients?

I approach care as a collaborative process built on trust, clarity, and respect. I take time to understand the full picture—biological, psychological, and life context—rather than focusing only on symptoms. My style is thoughtful and direct, but always compassionate. I believe patients do best when they feel genuinely heard, well-informed, and actively involved in their treatment decisions

2. How do you integrate medication management?

Medication is one tool among many, not the entire solution. When indicated, I use medications thoughtfully and conservatively, with close attention to benefits, side effects, and individual response. I prioritize education so patients understand why a medication is being used and what to expect, and I regularly reassess to ensure it continues to serve their goals rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

3. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?

I commonly work with adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, stress-related burnout, and mood regulation difficulties. I also have extensive experience with complex presentations where symptoms overlap, as well as individuals navigating major life transitions, identity challenges, or high-performance stress.

4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?

I take my responsibility seriously and I don’t rush care. I value honesty, nuance, and long-term thinking over quick fixes. My goal is not just symptom reduction, but helping patients build insight, stability, and a sense of agency in their lives.

5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?

A strong therapeutic relationship. Healing happens when patients feel safe enough to be honest, curious about themselves, and supported while doing difficult internal work. Insight and treatment matter, but progress accelerates when there is trust, consistency, and a shared understanding of where we’re going.

6. Do you have experience with trauma or PTSD?

Yes. I have extensive experience working with trauma and PTSD, including complex and developmental trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, paced, and grounded in safety, with attention to how trauma affects mood, cognition, relationships, and the nervous system over time.

7. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, exploring new cities, and having meaningful conversations with people I care about. I value experiences that help me stay grounded, curious, and connected.
