FAQs
1. What is your approach to working with patients?
My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I take time to understand each patient’s symptoms, life experiences, goals, and concerns before developing a treatment plan together. I want patients to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care.
2. How do you integrate medication management?
During medication visits, I also incorporate CBT-based strategies to help patients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical coping skills.
3. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
I work with adults experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, OCD, and insomnia. I also have experience working with patients navigating major life transitions, relationship stress, grief, and occupational burnout.
4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
I understand that reaching out for psychiatric care can feel intimidating. My goal is to create a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where patients can speak openly. I will be honest about my recommendations, explain the reasoning behind them, and work with each patient at a pace that feels manageable.
5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?
I believe a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of healing.
6. What kinds of clients do you work with best?
I work well with adults who are interested in better understanding themselves and are open to working collaboratively on both medication and behavioral strategies. I especially enjoy working with patients who want practical tools they can apply in their daily lives.
7. Do you have experience with trauma or PTSD?
Yes. I have experience evaluating and treating trauma-related conditions, including PTSD and complex trauma.
8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy working on my car, weight training, playing basketball, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
