Getting to know Cristine Oh, M.D.

I have a background in Psychology and Literature from Yale University and completed my general adult psychiatry residency at Stanford. I care for adults navigating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and a range of emotional and mental health challenges. My approach integrates psychotherapy with medication management and emphasizes LGBTQ+ affirming care for both cisgender and transgender individuals. I have a strong interest in identity, intersectionality, and the unique mental health experiences of BIPOC communities.

I received training in psychodynamic psychotherapy through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis and additional training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and CBT for insomnia (CBTi) at Stanford. I also hold a master’s degree in clinical research and have presented and published on topics including childhood trauma, sleep, autism, and integrated primary care.

Before pursuing medicine, I worked in education, community development, and international public service—experiences that continue to shape my holistic, culturally responsive approach to care. I strive to create a warm, collaborative therapeutic space rooted in curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s life story.
