4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
I want my patients and families to know that I take the time to truly understand each person’s story, not just their symptoms, and I approach care with curiosity, respect, and collaboration. I also believe treatment is a two-way process—I learn a great deal from my patients, and those perspectives help me refine and individualize the care I provide.
5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?
The most important part of the healing process is a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship built on safety, understanding, and collaboration. When patients and families feel heard and respected, it becomes possible to make sense of symptoms in context, identify meaningful goals, and work together toward sustainable change. Evidence-based treatments, including medication and psychotherapy, are most effective when grounded in that relationship and tailored to the individual’s unique story, strengths, and environment.
6. What kinds of clients do you work with best?
I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and I also care for young adults and adults across a range of psychiatric concerns. My background in child and adolescent psychiatry gives me a strong developmental framework for understanding how symptoms emerge and evolve across the lifespan, including the role of family systems, environment, and early experiences. I find that this perspective helps me connect with patients at all ages by meeting them where they are developmentally and tailoring treatment in a way that is individualized, practical, and meaningful to their stage of life.
7. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I prioritize practices and activities that help me stay grounded and balanced. I enjoy practicing my faith and mindfulness, which help me maintain perspective and presence in both life and clinical work. I stay active through sports like basketball, soccer, and golf. I also enjoy traveling and following basketball—especially supporting the New York Knicks.
