Moutushi Kundu M.D.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Dr. Kundu has trained in diverse academic and clinical settings in both India and the
US, starting her journey as a mental health counselor & case manager in Illinois,
obtaining her master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation and mental health counseling.
She then moved to New York, where she obtained her master & 39's degree in public health from NYU, followed by starting her General Psychiatry residency at Harlem Hospital
Center (affiliated with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and
Surgeons).
She then relocated to Charlottesville, VA, where she completed her first year
of fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry followed by her second year of
fellowship training at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is experienced in
Cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and Parent Management Training.
Dr. Kundu is very happy to be a part of the clinical team at Comprehensive Psychiatry
Services in 2025 and welcomes new patients. She is experienced in working with a
diverse range of patient populations, including adults, children, and adolescents from
various cultural backgrounds. She is well‐versed in medication management and
psychotherapy, with a focus on individualized, evidence-based practice in outpatient
settings.
Dr. Kundu is also board-certified in General Adult Psychiatry and is board-eligible for
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
