Sonya Martin, M.D.

Dr. Martin is a Board-Certified psychiatrist who specializes in mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders in adults.   She incorporates a wide range of therapeutic techniques into her treatments, including psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral change.  By working with individuals collaboratively and holistically, she supports her patients as they face life’s challenges and work toward achieving their full potential.  

Dr. Martin earned her BA in History from Amherst College, her MA in Social Science from the University of Chicago, and her MD from the New York University School of Medicine.  She completed her residency, chief residency, and fellowship at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute.  She has many years of experience in the remote practice of psychiatry via telemedicine and strongly believes that is the most appropriate and efficacious modality for many people.
