Getting to know Sukanya Pillai Venkatachalam, M.D.


Dr. Venkatachalam is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist and a member of American psychiatric Association. She obtained her medical degree in year 2006 from Kilpauk Medical College at Chenni, India. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at Loyola University, Chicago in the year 2011. She was awarded a certificate of Achievement in Clinical work.


Dr. Venkatachalam is trained in both psycho pharmacology and psychotherapy and incorporates a balance of the two. She treats psychiatric disorder including Depression, Bipolar disorder, Anxiety, Psychosis and Behavioral problems.


In addition to English, Dr. Venkatachalam speaks Hindi and Tamil.
