Getting to know Kimberly Curtis
It’s exhausting to have to struggle alone, but I want you to know that you don’t have to do this alone. My name is Dr. Kimberly Curtis Quiñones, and I am a psychiatrist. I completed medical school and adult psychiatry training at the University of Virginia. I have a broad range of knowledge in the areas of medication management, different styles of therapy (mindfulness based, supportive and behavioral activation) and mental health research. After a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, we will work collaboratively on a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs. I care for people with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD/trauma-related, sexual dysfunction, OCD, insomnia and a variety of other mental health issues. 1. What is your approach to working with patients?
I have a collaborative approach. I will always chose treatment options that are supported by high quality medical care and what is the best medical treatment options for that individual, but each patient will be given a few different options for the way the treatment can be approached.

Medication management is integrated with several behavioral and lifestyle improvement goals, for example managing sleep, increasing exercise, improving diet, and enhancing social connectedness.
