I've been a long distant patient for a bit over a year now. As someone who has a hectic schedule this has been the best experience to getting my care needs met.
All I've had is kind, patient and professional experiences.
FAQs
1. What is your approach to working with patients?
My approach is collaborative and patient-centered. I work to understand each patient’s unique experiences, values, and goals, and we work on developing a treatment plan together. I like to emphasize open communication, shared decision-making, and creating a safe space where patients feel heard and validated.
2. How do you integrate medication management?
I integrate medication management as one component of a comprehensive treatment plan. I prioritize shared decision-making and ensuring patients understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives of medications.
3. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders like depression and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and ADHD. I also work with individuals experiencing stress related to life transitions, relationships, and work. My approach is individualized, combining psychotherapy and, when appropriate, medication management.
4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
I emphasize a patient-centered approach, where you’re the expert on your experience, and I bring clinical knowledge to help guide us. During our sessions, we’ll work on making decisions together in a way that feels right for you.
5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?
I believe healing begins with self-awareness—helping patients understand their patterns, emotions, and underlying drivers. Once someone can clearly see what’s happening within themselves, they’re in a much stronger position to make intentional changes.
6. What kinds of clients do you work with best?
I tend to work best with individuals who are open to exploring their experiences and are willing to engage collaboratively in treatment.
7. Do you have experience with trauma or PTSD?
Yes
8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Mindfulness activities, including yoga, meditation, daily walks, and sightseeing.
