FAQs
1. What is your approach to working with patients?
I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach and focus on understanding each person’s unique experiences, values, and goals. I believe in meeting patients where they are and creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and respected. Treatment is tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
2. How do you integrate medication management?
When medication is part of treatment, I use an evidence-based and thoughtful approach. I carefully discuss risks, benefits, and alternatives, and we make decisions together. I stay current with medication advancements and aim to use the lowest effective dose while regularly reassessing effectiveness, side effects, and patient preferences.
3. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
I commonly treat mood and anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality-related concerns, substance use disorders, adjustment disorders, and stress related to life transitions or chronic medical illness.
4. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
I want patients to know that I genuinely care about their well-being and take their concerns seriously. My goal is to work alongside you, not talk over you or rush the process. I value trust, honesty, and open communication. My goal is always to recommend what I believe will best support a patient’s overall health and long-term outcomes.
5. What do you believe is the most important part of the healing process?
A strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and collaboration. Feeling understood and supported creates the foundation for meaningful and lasting change, whether through therapy, medications, or both.
6. What kinds of clients do you work with best?
I have experience working with individuals across all age groups. In my current practice, I most commonly work with adults who are open to collaboration and self-reflection, including those navigating anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, major life transitions, or complex medical and emotional stressors.
7. Do you have experience with trauma or PTSD?
Yes. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and PTSD. I approach trauma-informed care with sensitivity, respect, and an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and pacing that feels manageable for the patient.
8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, family, and pets. I love traveling, trying new foods, and exploring different places whenever I can. I value finding balance and enjoying the small moments in life, which helps me stay grounded and present with my patients.
