Getting to know Carlos Contreras, M.D.

Dr. Contreras is a board-certified psychiatrist who sees adults with a wide range of presenting conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and neurocognitive disorders.  Dr. Contreras brings a whole patient centered approach to treatment following evidence-based guidelines. He believes both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments are important to improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Contreras was raised in El Paso, Texas and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. He attended medical school at Texas Tech Health Science Center School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric residency at the UCLA/Greater VA Psychiatry Training Program.

Dr. Contreras speaks English and Spanish.
