Getting to know Anthony Choy, M.D.


Anthony Choy M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He had worked with patients from diverse backgrounds, including academic institutions, community hospitals, military settings, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. 


He completed his medical training at University of California Riverside, residency in general psychiatry at University of Texas Health San Antonio, and an MPH at Harvard T.C. Chan School of Public Health. Dr Choy would then serve as a psychiatrist in the United States Air Force, filling the roles of Medical Director of Mental Health and Deputy Chief of Medical Staff at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base 4th Medical Group. 


He has expertise in treating a variety of psychiatric conditions, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, OCD, and psychotic disorders. Dr Choy believes that good patient care encompasses trust, compassion, and teamwork. Through supportive/cognitive/behavioral therapy and psychopharmacology, he strives to engage his patients with a holistic and individualized approach.
