FAQs
1. What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
As explained in my bio, I have experience treating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, psychosis and schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I have also worked in integrated care settings, where I provided psychiatric care to pregnant and post-partum patients as well as HIV-positive patients.
During my residency training, I co-led a therapy group for patients with OCD spectrum disorders and also did medication management for many of the individuals in the group. Because of this, I have special experience in working with a wide-range of presentations of OCD, including more severe and treatment-refractory cases.
I also have a particular interest in borderline personality disorder and have taken time to educate other providers about this diagnosis, as it can be a challenge to diagnose and treat.
2. What's something you want your patients to know about you?
I feel passionately that all people deserve excellent mental health care. In addition to working at Comprehensive Psychiatric Services, I also work with people who are on mental health diversion from jail in Los Angeles County. In that role, I treat patients who have experienced homelessness, have severe mental illness, and struggle with substance use. I bring the same warmth and caring to all patients, no matter the setting in which I encounter them.
